Disappointed by In-Store Price Gouging – South Side Lethbridge Walmart I took a family member into the South Side Lethbridge Walmart to buy a vacuum that was clearly listed online for $74.98. But when we got to the store, the exact same vacuum was priced at $99.95—a $25 markup. We showed the cashier and asked for a price match, but were told no, even though Walmart themselves are selling it cheaper online. To make it worse, the same vacuum is available at Amazon for $74.99 and Canadian Tire for $79.99, so it’s not like Walmart can’t afford to offer a fair price. What really shocked me was the rudeness of the staff. I used to work at Walmart in Nelson, and I know what our store policies were—we always did our best to help customers, and we treated people with respect. This Lethbridge location was nothing like that. No flexibility, no customer service, just flat-out refusal. I refuse to support a store that treats in-person shoppers like this. If Walmart wants to lose sales over $25 and deny price matching for their own listing, that’s their loss. I’ll take my business to companies that actually respect their customers.

For the FIFTH time I have been borderline harassed by the SAME self-checkout guy to sign up for the master card. He always looks over my shoulder to make sure I give a 5-star review and then proceeds to talk to me for ten minutes not letting me leave and touching my items. I always tell him I’m not interested and I am in a rush, yet he ignores that and proceeds to bother me. I even wear my headphones to try and avoid this but he doesn’t care. I feel so uncomfortable coming here that I might at well just go to the north side

Enjoyed shopping here. Team members were pleasant to interact with and the floor plan was logically laid out. Being a superstore, there is every department you could dream of and more. Highlights included grocery, the pharmacy, stationary, and toys. I would recommend this location.

Was just there to pick up a couple items for supper. Wife went to pharmacy and I went to the men's washroom where I watched a Self checkout employee go in as well I finished went to wash my hands but what I saw was this employee also finished but he never washed his hands then went and touched a bunch of stock and registers in front of customer service disgusting🤢 seems like we learned nothing from covid and how germs spread. Next time I come in making sure I have disinfectant wipes especially if i see that same employee again

I will never buy a phone from a Walmart ever again they take forever to set it up don’t explain your bill and added extra charges and promises they could not keep about discounting bills based on your current services my bill was 150 dollars more then what I was told it would be in store. This location desperately needs to better train there staff on these type of services!

Why on earth is there a man at self checkout harassing me to rate 5 stars while he stood there and watched. That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever experienced at a walmart and that's not saying much. Make your employees take a customer service course because I was 5 seconds from throwing hands.

Walmart, are your phones just for display? I’ve called 7-8 times, and not once did anyone bother to pick up. Are your employees asleep, or do they just enjoy ignoring customers? It’s beyond frustrating when you need help but are met with silence. If you’re not going to answer calls, just remove the phone number from your website and stop pretending you offer customer service. Pathetic, lazy, and completely unprofessional. This store clearly doesn’t care about its customers—they just want your money. Do better, Walmart!

I was misled and basically pressured into signing up for their master card by a cashier. The entire interaction made me uncomfortable but he demanded my ID and asked me all these personal questions like how much money I make or how much my rent is and I told him I'm not comfortable with this but he wouldn't just let me pay until I did. I didn't feel right about the interaction so I called customer service and I will say at least the assistant manager was helpful and apologized and said that shouldn't have happened. So hopefully that cashier doesn't do it to anyone else.
